Biography, Education and Training

Hello! My name is Rebecca Dizon, and I am excited to join the Writing Program as Lead Undergraduate Advisor & Program Coordinator.

My Role on Campus

• Advising undergraduate students on writing requirements and related policies, campus resources/supports, and all things related to holistic academic and student success
• Representing the Writing Program at campus events and serving as a resource and point of contact for campus partners around Writing Program offerings, processes, and policies.

• B.A. Cognitive Science, UC Berkeley

About Me

I have worked in higher education for the past seven years, most recently as an Academic Advisor at the University of Colorado Boulder. I am passionate about working to cultivate campus environments that provide holistic and equitable support to students.

I am originally from Southern California and am excited to be back again in CA and the greater bay area! Outside of work, I enjoy sewing, crafting, playing piano, watching TV, and spending time with family and friends.
